My journey with massage therapy began more than 20 years ago. Early in my career, I worked in a traditional spa environment where relaxation was the focus. While I loved giving my clients a place to slow down and unwind, I quickly discovered that what fulfilled me most was helping address the tension and discomfort their bodies were carrying.

I didn't just want my clients to feel better for an hour. I wanted the benefits of our work together to extend beyond the massage itself—helping them move more comfortably, feel better in their bodies, and improve their overall quality of life.

Massage with purpose.  Care with intention.

MEET YOUR THERAPIST

WHERE IT BEGAN

Inspired by the power of touch.

My connection to massage therapy began with my first son who faced surgeries and physical therapy at a young age and I could see the discomfort he was experiencing. But when massage was incorporated into his care, I watched him become peaceful and relaxed in a way that stayed with me.

The impact of those moments never left me. Seeing how compassionate, intentional touch could bring him comfort during such a difficult time was what first inspired me to pursue massage therapy.

The path I ultimately took looked different from the one I originally imagined, but the reason behind it never really changed: I wanted to use massage to make a meaningful difference in how someone feels.

THE WHY BEHIND TRELAX

Beyond temporary relief.

Relaxation has an important place in massage therapy—but I knew I wanted my work to go further.

I wanted to understand what each client's body needed, address the areas of tension and restriction affecting how my clients moved and felt, and provide care that could support a better quality of life—not simply temporary relief.

That desire became the foundation of the way I practice today: thoughtful therapeutic work combined with the restorative benefits of relaxation.

COMING FULL CIRCLE

Returning with a clear purpose.

After stepping away from massage therapy for many years, returning to the work felt different. I came back with more life experience, a deeper understanding of what meaningful care looks like, and a much clearer vision of the therapist I wanted to be.

I knew I didn't want to recreate the traditional spa experience I had left behind—but I also didn't want therapeutic massage to feel cold or clinical. I wanted to create something in between: focused, purposeful bodywork that addresses what needs attention while still giving the body space to slow down, relax, and restore.

That vision became Trelax Massage Therapy.
